Markets!

Saturday Markets

These markets are not really only farmer's market, but you'll find everywhere good organic food and handmade cheese and so.

Hunyadi Square Market in downtown is a small asylum.
Eco-bio market near MOM Mall is the most authentic source of village goods.

Sunday Markets

If you are also fancy to act like a local (as I do, when I'm abroad), there are some tips how Budapesters spend their time off.
First of all, go to a community market!

The best is Szimpla kert.

"Szimpla" is not only one of the first and most famous ruin pub, but it has more. The Sunday Farmers Market as the website said, "always fresh, always engaging" - and it is true!
A good faces and smooth live music is a bonus.
Voluntary cooking for needy people is also launched here.
It opens Sunday 8AM- 1 PM or so.

I can also recommend Dürer Kert, which is a community hub, a concert hall, but Sundays there is a flea market (community fair) venue too.

Similar is Pancs Gasztroplacc in Élesztőház, the best artisan brewery in town. Sunday morning by 1 PM.

Very near by, at Klauzál tér Market Hall, also on Sunday, there is a vintage-antique market and food stalls as well.

For the most famous and big design fair (purchasing local artists stuff, like clothes, home design, toys and artisan food) check the dates and actual location of WAMP, Budapest Design Fair.
