If the weather is mild, head for a whole afternoon trip
with the boat nr. D12 to Római Part.

This a traditional leisure area, with boat houses, street food stalls and buffets.

Do not miss my favourite place, Fellini Római bistro.
Unique environment, great people, good music and many concerts and even cinema for free at summer nights.

The Két Rombusz offers an option for self-cooking with the stuff you've brought. You can rent all the equipment. (Wood for the fire, huge pan for the soup or the "goulash", or even steel sticks for our national public amusement, grilling bacon and savoury sausage and eat the leaking hot fat on white bread.)

South End

At the south high end of the Danube of Budapest, you can find a much more moderate, leisure area, a brand new one, the Kopaszi Gát. It's a bit boring as it's modern, and the grass is scissor cut but as compensation, the area is also full of pleasant eateries.

If your time is limited, check Pagony Garden next to Gellért Bath.
The area belonged to the bath but now is an excellent chill-out nest in the middle of the city.
Open air cinema in summer!

Very near, there is my two favourite coffee shop, both located at Bartok Bela Street.
Béla Bár, the new hip place, offers delicious food and drinks and even a place to sleep.

Kelet Kávézó (East Coffeehaus) has a Berlin feeling.  Excellent coffees, teas, snacks, a wide range of books and newspapers to read in English.
